The Professional Bachelor of Education (P.B.Ed.) program: Far Western University offers a blended mode (combining online learning with in-person sessions) to make teacher education more accessible, especially in remote areas of Nepal. The P.B.Ed. program is structured into two semesters and is designed for those currently working as school teachers, aspiring educators, or individuals with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in non-education fields seeking to broaden their career opportunities in education. This course is specifically designed for individuals who already possess theoretical knowledge in a specialized subject and wish to enter the teaching profession or education sector. It offers both teaching skills and an academic degree, preparing student teachers for the challenges of modern education. Admission Criteria Far Western University's Faculty of Education offers admission to the Professional B.Ed. program through an entrance exam, coordinated with the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Education, at the respective campus or department. Applicants must have a minimum of 40% marks or a C+ grade in their bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university. Additionally, students with a bachelor’s degree in fields other than language, mathematics, science, and ICT are also eligible, provided they meet the same minimum grade requirements.
